L’Oréal Casting Creme Gloss

First up, I’d like to disclaim that I’m definitely not a beauty blogger. I’m just a mom who loves products that make my life easier.

And this one definitely did!

The L’Oréal Casting Creme Gloss is a conditioning hair colour with no ammonia, boasting shimmering colour with rich and glossy shine. There are 28 shades in the range. I chose to go with shade 200: Ebony Black.

It really is true to what it says. My hair has turned out gorgeously rich in colour, shiny and satin soft. It feels incredibly conditioned and not dry at all like some other hair dyes make my hair feel.

To be honest, I haven’t done an at home hair session in ages, probably as long as a year. So I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed a few improvements on the presentation and packaging of all the inserts.

Firstly, tube no 2, the applicator tube now has a screw cap instead of those cut off tips. This is much easier to use. You don’t have to go scrabbling for a pair of scissors. And if you’re anything like me, I often just dye my hair while wearing just a bra for the sake of not getting any dye on my clothes. So, it could be a little awkward running around the house half naked trying to find scissors. And chances are, they’re probably not where you last saw them.

Secondly, the conditioner now comes in a cute little bottle instead of those cheap plastic sachets. My first thought when I saw this was what a perfect travel size bottle. So even if you don’t want to use the conditioner after you’ve done your hair, you can always use it for traveling. Packaging is one of the most important marketing tools. L’Oréal has done this so well. Packaging and presentation sells and I would definitely buy this again because of these improvements.

Another improvement that is high up on my list is the improved high quality gloves. They are thicker than the previous make and easier to work with in your hair. You could even reuse them if you had to: think painting with the kiddies or other sticky and messy arts and crafts activities.

Most importantly, I am beyond impressed with my colour. I have received so many compliments since I’ve done it. The end result is shiny and silky soft, rich healthy looking hair.

Bonus: they’re on sale at Clicks at the moment for only R89,95.

That’s it folks,

Have a wonderful week!
